Three bands that I think everyone should give a listen to and have inspired me throughout the years are Led Zeppelin, Two Door Cinema Club and Smallpools. I would recommend that you listen to these three albums:
1. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV – Also known as Zoso, Zeppelin IV is easily one of the most iconic and pioneering albums of all time. My favorite tracks are “Stairway to Heaven” and “Going to California”. You HAVE to give this album a listen!
2. Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History - This album contains several of my favorite songs such as “Something Good Can Work” and “Undercover Martyn”. The album has many synth electro-pop songs that are extremely catchy. You’ll be hooked within the first 30 seconds, I guarantee it.
My favorite songs that the band has written are “Some Days” and “Runaway”.“Some Days” has a really nice soothing vibe to it. It’s the type of song you can just listen to on repeat while driving down a highway. All the instruments blend extremely well together in the choruses giving it an old school Oasis type of feeling.“Runaway” is a pop rock song that feels like it was written more for the old school Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco fans of the early 2000s.The catchy guitar parts got me hooked into the song the first time I heard Matt play it (also I’m a sucker for delay effects on guitars just so you know).
A few cool facts that you may or may not already know about me are that I was born in Okinawa, Japan and have lived in Japan, Belgium and the United States at different parts of my life. I have three cats, one of which was named “Arya” after Arya Stark on the show Game of Thrones, which happens to be one of my favorite shows. I’m also an avid Green Bay Packers fan and never go anywhere without my Packer’s baseball cap.
